On this day, we introduced two of the Sarika pups to goats for the first time; it was a first for the goats too!
We always do introductions to new livestock using a front attachment harness and long line. This makes it impossible for the dogs to make a mistake. Using a clicker and treats with them in this process makes it very clear to the dogs what we'd like to see them do more of. It also allows us to build confidence with the pups if needed as well.
We had no idea what our beautiful pups would think of twenty-seven goats - all at the same time. This introduction was a lot of fun for all of us! I hope you enjoy the videos!
